OutGate Entertainment is a West Coast film and live experience studio building the Urban West Cinematic Universe.
OutGate Entertainment was formed in 2025 by Tim Slater, Seretse Njemanze, and Devin Wessell to fill a massive content gap in the industry: the Urban West.
We are Gen Y and Millennial storytellers who live and breathe the Urban West — first-generation Web 2.0, streaming, and social media adopters; West Coast Hip-Hop griots; and next-gen filmmakers.
We produce documentaries, scripted series, narrative features, and live experiences.
We curate stories with love, reverence, and authenticity — without sugarcoating or romanticizing. These are not fairytales. Our audience demands depth and humanity.

01 · LeadershipCo-Founder · Head of Creative
Tim Slater
Timothy Slater is an SAG-AFTRA actor, screenwriter, and co-founder of Outgate Entertainment, where he serves as Head of Creative, overseeing the company's storytelling vision and slate development.
He leads the creative direction across all film and television projects, shaping narrative voice, character development, and long-term IP strategy to ensure each project aligns with Outgate's broader vision.
Focused on authentic, character-driven stories rooted in the Urban West, Slater brings Bay Area culture to the screen with cinematic scale and global appeal, combining creative instinct with strategic execution to build enduring, interconnected cinematic properties.

Seretse Njemanze
Seretse Njemanze is a film director, film & live experience producer and co-founder of OutGate Entertainment, where he serves as the Head of Production.
He oversees, strategizes and streamlines each stage of the development and production cycle of OutGate film and TV offerings, researching and identifying opportunities of organic audience engagement and culturally-conscious partnerships for every OutGate project.
The Urban West is the cultural lens and universal framework through which Seretse crafts bespoke campaigns, integrates cutting-edge production modes, renders narrative development and, most importantly, assures that the end product surpasses the Urban West's high standards.
With more than a decade of experience in production, Seretse recognizes that the culturally transcendent entertainment experiences of tomorrow will, today, be built upon the foundation of next-gen storytelling that respects — and challenges — the audience.

Devin Wessell
Devin Wessell is a talented screenwriter and co-founder of OutGate Entertainment, where he holds the position of Head of Operations. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the company's diverse functions to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
With a decade of experience in operations, Devin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his leadership role. He is dedicated to leading operational efforts that help foster creativity and innovation within the organization.
Devin is committed to maintaining high standards in project management, ensuring that each project aligns with the artistic vision of Urban West and resonates with audiences.
04 · LeadershipI.P. Lead Development Director
Craig Hollis Jr.
Craig Hollis Jr. began his journey in entertainment as an extra on the Lionsgate feature production Blindspotting (2018) and, subsequently, seasons one and two of the Starz series Blindspotting (2021). These experiences sparked his passion for the industry and lit a fire inside of him to further pursue opportunities in film and entertainment.
Today, Craig is an I.P. Lead Development Director for Outgate Entertainment, where he helps facilitate the development of film project slates and identifying alignment opportunities with compelling I.P. in the Urban West.
He is passionate about storytelling, culture, and creating opportunities that inspire and connect people.
